摘要:

近年來隨著數(shù)值天氣預(yù)報的不斷發(fā)展,數(shù)值天氣預(yù)報中出現(xiàn)了一個新的值得注意的問題:預(yù)報不一致性,即連續(xù)多次預(yù)報中,前后兩次預(yù)報所做出的預(yù)報結(jié)果之間差異較大的現(xiàn)象。本文較系統(tǒng)地概述了這一問題,總結(jié)了預(yù)報不一致性的概念、定量分析方法、產(chǎn)生的可能原因及其與預(yù)報誤差的關(guān)系等方面的研究成果。目前預(yù)報不一致性的定量分析方法還較少,其適用性和客觀性等還需進(jìn)一步研究。在預(yù)報不一致性產(chǎn)生的原因方面,現(xiàn)有的研究僅限于理論上的簡要分析,初始誤差和模式誤差在預(yù)報不一致性形成過程中的具體作用等尚不清楚。最后闡述了在預(yù)報不一致性研究中存在的一些問題及可能的研究方向。

Abstract:

During the development of numerical weather prediction, a new notable problem:forecast inconsistency, has been investigated in recent years. Forecast inconsistency means the large difference between two consecutive forecasts in the successive forecasts. The main issues of forecast inconsistency are systematically presented in this paper, including its concept, methods of quantification analysis, the possible causes and the relationship with forecast error. Results show that there are few methods of quantification analysis, and their applicability and objectivity still require further study. In terms of the reasons of forecast inconsistency, present research is limited to a brief analysis of the theory, and the specific roles of the initial error and the model error in the formation of forecast inconsistency are still unclear. Some potential problems and possible research direction of forecast inconsistency are pointed out in the end.
